Author’s Note: This short
piece is going to tell you what my prediction was and what I think was going to
happen at the end of a book I am reading.
The book Holes by Louis Sachar I think is a really great book for
young and old who like to read books. Holes is about teenagers who do a crime
and either go to jail or to a camp and at the camp they have to dig a hole each
day five feet deep and five feet wide and if they find something interesting
they show it to the warden she’s like the runner of the camp and she decides if
they get the rest of the day off. It teaches people lots of different things.
One thing it teaches is that you have to keep working hard even if you are in a
hot place or a cold place.
I had lots of predictions in
my head about this book but I will tell you one of them. I predicted that The main character Stanley
will find something interesting in a hole that he is digging and he will show
it to the warden at the camp and he will not have to dig holes for a week
because how cool the thing was that he had found. The reason I predicted that,
is because Of what I said about them getting the rest of the day off if they
found something cool. That prediction just stuck out to me for some reason and
I thought my prediction was a good one to say.
We all have our own
predictions for every book and people can’t tell you that the prediction is
wrong because we all have different predictions and there can’t always be that
one person that thinks whatever they do or think is right. Our predictions are
sometimes right and sometimes wrong it depends on the outcome of the story so
make good predictions and see what happens.
