Basketball

Have you ever read a book with your favorite sport in the story? I have I love how the author puts the sport in the story. Those are the best books I have ever read.

            The main character in this story loves to play basketball in school and out of school with his friends. He has a basketball hoop in his back yard were him and his friends play basketball all the time after school. When he and his brother play basketball outside he always wants to beat him. But he never beats him because his brother is a lot taller and stronger. One time he and his brother wanted to go out and play basketball so they did and Nick the main character played great defense and great offense and won against his brother.

            Sometimes at school he gets bothered by people like getting pushed around during basketball at his school. But his friends stick up for him and make the people get away from him. One time they were playing basketball outside at this one park and Nick was going in for a layup and got pushed out of bounce and into a ditch. Some guys came over and sat on him until he almost drones. A person that Nick new came over and got the guys of him then he brought Nick back to his house and Nick got all dried off and stayed home.

            He loves watching the NBA on TV and he knows lots of players on the teams. One day after school his dad called him and said do you want to go to a NBA game with one of your friends and me. He said sure he got one of his best friends and they headed off to the game. When they sat down nick could tell one thing about all the players on the court. All through the game both teams fought hard and at the end of the game the Seattle Sonics won over the Portland Trail Blazers. They all loved watching the game.

            I love read books that have sports in them. The authors make really good stories using the sports in them. Those are my favorite books to read. I would love to have a basketball court in my back yard were me and my friends would play basketball.
